Annual conference of the Euro Control Route (ECR): Amsterdam, the Netherlands on June 17 -18, 2015.

On June 17th and 18th 2015, the ECR conference was organized by the Dutch Human Environment and Transport Inspectoratie at the Amsterdam Mövenpick Hotel.

The meeting was the closure of the year in which the ILT functioned as the presidency of Euro Control Route (ECR).

Professional trendwatchers, scientists and representatives of European transportinspectorates and policeforces presented their vision of intelligent and effective enforcement. The new Secretary General, Lidewijde Ongering opened the conference.

Followed by a swift glance at the futuretrends by Adjiedj Bakas.

After his overall vision followed a series of presentations that specifically address methods of enforcement. Risk-oriented? Information oriented? Based on trust? Or by roadsidechecks? What are the opportunities and obstructions?

The presentations were followed by an animated  by a series of provactive statements (click here to see ) on which the participants could vote before and after the panel discussion.

It yielded some interesting information but also the confirmation that there is still a long way to go before everyone aims on the same point. A future task and challenge for the ECR with Lithuania as the presidency for the next twelve months.

The videojournal of the conference can be seen here.
